Cover Reveal! CUTLASS by Ashley Nixon

Happy Hump Day y'all!! Today I'm so excited to be sharing another Xpresso Book Tours post, this time a cover reveal and giveaway! I've made no secret of my love for Regina at Mae I Design. So when I heard she'd designed a book cover for a novel about sexy pirates, um YEAH. I had to be part of that!!

Here are some details about CUTLASS:

    Cutlass by Ashley Nixon
    (Cutlass Series #1)
    Publication date: April 23rd 2014
    Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

Notorious pirate Barren Reed has one thing on his mind: Revenge against the man who killed his father. So kidnapping his enemy’s fiancé seems a perfect plan…until he actually does it.

Larkin Lee is more than a pretty face and fiancé to a powerful man. Her fierce personality is enough to make any pirate want to push her overboard.

But when the King of the Orient comes to Barren with a task—to find the Bloodstone, a powerful gem thought only to exist in legend, Barren sees another opportunity to destroy his enemy. Together, Barren, Larkin and a crew of pirates set off to find the stone, only to discover it caused the death of Barren’s own mother and Larkin’s, too. As his strongest allies turn into his greatest enemies, and the life of the girl he kidnapped becomes more important than he ever dreamed, Barren’s quest for revenge becomes a fight to save the Orient.

Sounds AWESOME, right?? Add it to your TBR shelf on Goodreads now!

I know you want to see the cover, but first here's a little info about the author, Ashley Nixon:

Ashley was born and raised in Oklahoma, where the wind really does sweep down the plains, and horses and carriages aren't used as much as she'd like. When she's not writing, she's hard at work on her Master's degree in Library Science and Information Technology, working out, or pretending she's Sherlock Holmes. Her obsession with writing began after reading the Lord of the Rings in the eighth grade. Since then, she's loved everything Fantasy--resulting in an unhealthy obsession with the 'geek' tab on Pinterest, where all things awesome go.

    Where you can find her

    And NOW...without further ado...

CUTLASS by Ashley Nixon, cover designed by Regina Wamba!

SO gorgeous, right?? The cover plus the description TOTALLY make me want to pick this one up. Can't wait to grab my copy when it comes out in April!

In the meantime, Ashley's celebrating her cover reveal with an awesome giveaway! Enter below...

    Moon Child Cover Reveal!!

Hello there! My sincere apologies for the radio silence over the past couple of weeks. MAJOR HOTSAUCE and I have been moving and BOY has that been a chore! We're still navigating piles of boxes in the new house, and the Internet hasn't been installed yet, but we're getting there. It's nice to *almost* not be living out of suitcases anymore.

In the midst of the move, exciting book things have been happening as well! Namely, the MOON CHILD cover was finalized!! I'm SOOO excited to share it with you! I think Regina Wamba of Mae I Design did another incredible job....I love how the blues and reds call back to the BY BLOOD cover...and the model is Diana through and through. Because the book takes place mostly at night, the darkness of this cover and the glowing streetlight and moon are just perfect. What do YOU think?? :-)

Before Emma's adventures in Oxford, her best friend Diana came face-to-face with a killer...

Diana Calvert is so over high school. Who cares if Olivia hates her? And David needs to forget about having a crush on her STAT. Even Emma’s crazy fashion choices can’t keep Diana entertained. All she can hope for is a dance scholarship to a college as far away as possible from too-small, too-boring, too-nothing-ever-happens New Freedom, PA.

And then, of course, something does happen. Diana meets Nicholas Woodhaven. He’s pale, angry…yet weirdly charming. And she can’t stop thinking about him. The more time they spend together, the more she wonders who – or what – he really is. Because he isn’t anything like the other guys she knows. Not with the whole only-going-out-at-night thing. And living with his creepy aunt. And not going to school.

Just when Diana thinks she’s got Nicholas all figured out, people in her small, nothing-ever-happens town start dying. She has to wonder – can she trust him? And even more alarming – could she be next?

A murder mystery with a paranormal twist, Moon Child is best read under the covers with a flashlight...if you dare!

MOON CHILD will be available August 16th for Kindle and in Paperback!!

Cover Love: The Sound of Letting Go

I know what you're thinking...TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY?!? How can this be??

Well...yeah. It's a big blog week for me, I told ya! The thing is, I'd already planned to review IMPOSTOR today, when I found out about fellow Bookanista Stasia Ward Kehoe's big cover reveal...and I just had to be part of the celebration!

I LOVE cover reveals...and THE SOUND OF LETTING GO has such a beautiful cover!! Seriously!!

But's a little more about the book:

For sixteen years, Daisy has been good.  A good daughter, helping out with her autistic younger brother uncomplainingly.  A good friend, even when her best friend makes her feel like a third wheel. When her parents announce they’re sending her brother to an institution—without consulting her—Daisy’s furious, and decides the best way to be a good sister is to start being bad.  She quits jazz band and orchestra, slacks in school, and falls for bad-boy Dave.
But one person won’t let Daisy forget who she used to be: Irish exchange student and brilliant musician Cal.  Does she want the bad boy or the prodigy?  Should she side with her parents or protect her brother?  How do you know when to hold on and when—and how—to let go?

Ooh...sounds amazing, right? I love when I read a book description and I really have no idea how things will play out, or even how I *want* them to play out. Books with tough choices and complicated factors. Sounds like THE SOUND OF LETTING GO has all these and more!

    And now, without further----

    Oh wait, did I mention there's a giveaway?? :-D

    a Rafflecopter giveaway

Okay, I bet you REALLY want to see it now, huh?

    Your wish is my command..........

Congratulations, Stasia! Can't wait to read it! :-)

Today I have some exciting news to share! I'm helping Christine Fonseca, author of the fabulous Requiem series, reveal the cover of her new short story, Enigma!

    First, a description:

"Lorelei sees things other girls can't see. She knows about the demons and monsters. She's met them. Up close. And it's cost her everything.

Torn between protecting her siblings and avenging her mother's death, Lorelei must decide which path she will take. And no matter what she chooses, her decision will influence more than just her future in this companion short story to the Requiem Series."

And here's the link to add it to your Goodreads TBR shelf!

    And, finally....

    The gorgeous cover!!! :-)
